Let's GROW! - Secondary 3

The LET’S GROW! series speaks of the headway that students have made and are encouraged to grow in greater maturity and stability. We aim to cultivate in students a global mindset through purposeful exposure and yet remain relevant and rooted to the local community.

Course Highlights

• Investment, a practical Life Skills course, provides students with sound financial knowledge. Students will learn why they need to invest and what investible instruments are available. They will understand what stocks are, how a stock market works and the differences between long-term investing and speculative day trading. Most importantly, they will learn how to invest in themselves.
• Studio VJ, one of the latest exciting Media courses, shows budding Video DJs how to combine the effects of videography and funk music to create beautiful pieces of art. Students learn to do this by experiencing video taking and music composition in a real-life studio. For many this will be the first time they get to experience first-hand the challenges and professional pride of a video/music artist.
• Experiential Learning is the main domain through which values like prudence, initiative, pride and tenacity are emphasized and infused throughout the learning journey. Through Experiential Learning, students experience authentic contexts in which they get to interact with real people with real emotions and conflicts. It is an excellent platform where they can apply the knowledge they have and use it to foster closer connections with others in any scenario.
