GM001 Game Apprentice
Students will be exposed to different genres of games & understand game mechanics & gameplay of each game genre. Students will be able to produce a series of side scrolling games, platform 2D games, shooting games etc.
GM002 Flash Addicts
The students will work as a team to produce a series of platform games with the various tools and techniques in flash. They will also apply them in the development of games to be played in the PC
GM003 World of 3D Games
This will allow students to understand and grasp the use of modern computer graphics
by adding depth to 2D games. Students will apply simple techniques in terms of how they look into the gaming world.
GM004 Pocket Game Mania
This module will enhance students in designing interactive games for handheld devices with the use of softwares & emulators. Students will study various functionalities of game consoles & its uniqueness on the introductory basis.
GM005 Shigeru Studios
The father of modern video games, Shigeru Miyamoto was the creator of Mario, Donkey Kong and Legend of Zelda. This bridging module will allow students to dwell into the creative mind of Shigeru. They will anticipate in the storytelling & plot development of their own game. Students can get to design their own roleplay characters, NPCs (non-playable characters), game level, item inventory etc. They will also understand how ESRB rating systems provide concise information about the content of games.
GM006 Board Game Mania
World’s most popular board game, MONOPOLY has attracted over 480 million players for 60 years. In this module, students will be exposed to different categories of interactive board games. They will get a chance to create their own board game. Students will learn the psychology and the building strategy of abstract and traditional
board games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk, Chess etc.
