DGI001 Fonts@Play (NAC-AEP 2009/10)
Students will explore and experiment with letter forms and page layout for expressive communication. They will learn fundamental typographic principles, font recognition, and analysis of both historical and post modern design theory. On an application level, they will learn the technique of using typography to represent concepts, objects, actions and emotions in advertisements, posters, newsletters and other visual communications
DGI002 Exploring Digital Art with IT (NAC-AEP 2009/10)
This programme allows students to explore various techniques of capturing images and presenting them with multimedia tools. An interesting field trip is incorporated to stimulate imagination and creativity.
DGI003 Color Your Emotions (NAC-AEP 2009/10)
Colour is a powerful tool of expression in the fields of visual arts and design. It has been used extensively by artists and designers to express or evoke a gamut of human emotions. This programme equips students with the knowledge in the psychology of colour and the techniques in using them to convey emotions. Through special thematic projects like posters, postcards and cover pages, students will get to apply and experiment with colours.
DGI004 DigiGraphika
Learn the principles of graphic design and apply them into digital terms. This module infuses the rules of graphic design into the application of digital design. Students will be challenged on how to create dynamic end products with the knowledge of graphic arts in the digital platform.
DGI005 Digital Art Camp
Through many productive hours and having fun together, students will gain interest and insight into the world of visual art and animation. Their creative thinking and computer skills will be put to good use as they are challenged to design quality digital artwork for desktop publishing, web pages and other creative communications.
DGI006 DigiBranding
This module caters to branding creation. Students will learn how to create digital logos and with that create products like letterheads, namecards and envelopes. Students will be required to present the whole package in a presentation design that explains their digital design direction.
