Media Arts Programme

Programme for Active Learning (PAL)

Programme for Active Learning (PAL) aims to provide pupils with broad exposure and experiences through fun and varied activities at a young age. Under this programme, all primary 1 and 2 pupils will participate in modular activities in 2 broad areas:

  1. Sports and Games & Outdoor Education.
  2. Performing Arts (Music and Dance) & Visual / Media Arts.

For primary 3 to 6, there is an option for them to continue as part of the PAL programme or opt for a main CCA elective where pupils specialise in their area of interest.

Selected Visual/Media Arts PAL Programmes for Primary 1 and 2

MPAL001 Cube it Like Picasso
Primary 1s and 2s will get to learn Pablo Picasso’s art form - Cubism, the digital way.
Students will be introduced to the basics of Adobe Photoshop tools like brush, pencil and colour swatches to create their very own Cubism art piece.

 

MPAL002 Sketch in Style
Students will learn to enhance their psychomotor skills by creating landscapes or character sketches in Adobe Photoshop. This class will teach students to illustrate using the stylus. Students will learn to incorporate basic art elements to create the illustrated end product.

 

MPAL003 Colour My World!
Students will learn about how to use colours correctly. They will also go through basic colour understanding and when to use the colours appropriately in a design. The end product is an art piece filled with colours done with explanation on why the colours were used.

 

MPAL004 Paint Master
Learn how to paint using Adobe Photoshop. In this class, students will be exposed to various kinds of brushes and effects related to it. They will learn to create an artistic end product using paint styles.

 

 

MPAL005 T-Shirt Designer
Using Microsoft powerpoint, students will learn how to design a T-shirt logo. They will learn about logo creation and coming up with sketches before attempting the design in Powerpoint.
