Sport Education Programme (SEP)
Archery
This basic instructional course covers theoretical briefing on safety, correct handling and equipment understanding. Students will be taught correct techniques of aiming and shooting to reach a competent level of the game.
Golf Sports
This course aims to teach introductory golf in a safe, fun environment and uses customized instructional equipment to build a foundation in a positive, holistic way.
Rock Climbing
Students will be acquainted with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform safe rock climbing. They will be proficient at tying basic and advanced knots used in rock climbing. Students will be taught with basic rope handling skills and know the dangers revolving it for safety. They will to be proficient in belay techniques, and basic movements on rock.
Hot Wheels! (Inline Skating)
This course is a fun and healthy activity which challenges students to balance and manoeuvre smoothly on roller blades. Students will be given introductory lessons on equipment care, protective gear and basic skating skills.
Swimming
Swimming offers many unique advantages over other sports making it an ideal choice for young people. Long-time swimmers can attest to the life skills gained by participation, including time management, survival skills and independence.
Tchoukball
A beand new sport that is played with the combined rules and skills in Handball, Captain's ball & Volleyball. Students will learn the various types of attack & defence techniques, aspects of teamwork and the fundamental techniques of passing, shooting & dribbling.
Soccer
A fun-filled course where students learn different ball skills. Students will be able to dribble, pass & shoot at goal. Students will be introduced to body feint and fake pass to develop an interest in Soccer as a competitive sport or play at a recreational level.
Basketball
In this course, students will learn the foundation of basketball, to dribbling, pass & shoot into the basket. Students will be taught to beat players using body feint and fake pass. It also includes theoretical explaination of the rules and regulations.
Rugby / Touch Rugby
In this course, students will learn the foundation of touch rugby. Students will learn to make accurate passes and score a try. They will be introduced to body feint and fake pass to eliminate defenders and to develop an interest in touch rugby as a competitive sport or play at a recreational level.
Netball
Students will learn about the basic of netball to develop an interest in this sport as a competitive sport of play at a recreational level. They will learn the different passes used in netball or also to shoot.
Rhythmic Advantages (Sports & Music)
This unique course provides students with the basic skills of basketball and musical rhythm. The game of basketball provides a good platform for the introduction of specfic musical rhythms which is an integral component in musical development. Fusing the 2 areas will give students a rare opportunity to appreciate both sports and aesthetics. This course will also develop teamwork and cooperation.
Floorball
This is a fun and fast pace indoor team sport played using composite sticks with a plastic vented blade where the aim is to put a light plastic into the opponent's goal.
Badminton
In this course, students will be able to learn the basic racket skills and playing techniques, to develop an interest to take up tennis as a hobby or part of an exercise program. Students will play a game of badminton using basic passing and receiving racket skills.
Hip Hop Fitness
This course encourages students to keep fit through dance. The approach is to use hip hop dance, a form familiar and popular amongst youth today, to encourage them to participate in dance fitness. This course will introduce students to the basics and culture of modern dance and expose students to beats, rhythms and tempo sense of timing and coordination. It introduces students to appreciate the diversity of movements the human body is capable and it will also encourage students to apply these diverse movements in relation to various move and rhythm.
Funk Asia
The objective of this course is to introduce students to the various ethnic and national dances of countries in Asia and how they can be integrated with Funk dancing. Through dance, students will be taught the diversity of cultures in Asia and they will learn to respect and appreciate these dances and their culture.
