“Given your name OSMAN (referring to Othman Wok, a teacher/writer), hoping you would be a teacher when you grow up!” was what his mother told him when was young.
Could never believe what his mother had predicted.

A young boy, bursts with energy to play all day and ‘venture’ into neighbors’ fruit garden; caught and grounded one day, he started an ‘indoor hobby’. Drawing expresses his feeling and curiosity in art form.

Took part actively in several group of contemporary art exhibitions since the age of 17, this artist had done much of travelling, understanding each individual ethnic group culture and traditions during his younger days. A sixth batch of LaSalle College of the Arts graduates (1988-1990), he ventured further in the commercial industry, pitting his skills into various industries. Throughout his ‘learning journey’, he had made several ‘stop over’ thus gain valuable lesson in overseas working experience.

With trained eye for aesthetic beauty, Osman decide to set his own handy craft workshop/gallery in Singapore while reaching out into Art education (year 2001 – 2008) and teaching commercial and academic drawing, painting and sculpture/ traditional art and craft that are a dying trade where it is in demand nowadays.
His passion and knowledge in visual arts is his asset in reaching out to his students, be it young and old.
